I don't see anything, but pushing on the bottom makes a crunching noise

Question for 92-99 Owners
Ok, this is a question I am posing to 92-99 owners. Now, before I get into this, this might not be for the faint of heart (or those who freak out about rust) I would like 92-99 owners to look at their driver'* side door, as the support between the little window and the main window on the door, right above the mirror controls. Here is a picture of the area:
Now, what I want you to do is to look at the leading edge near the bottom on the forward facing side (side by the little window) What do you see? Hopefully you are luckier than I am.
The reason for this:
I just recently found a 93 SSEi in the yard the same color as mine. $140 later i walked out with a complete door, fender and molding for my car (hit a deer last year) Well, i took the bumper I had, and the fender and molding back last weekend, and was going to take the door back this weekend. As i was taking it apart to get the mirror off, I was at an angle where I noticed some rust on the pillar there. Upon further inspection, I found out how bad it was (pictures later) Well, when I was home, I checked my red door that I was going to use, and sure enough, the same thing happened. I have not checked my car as it was in another building, but will when I am back.
just interested to see if anyone else has this problem.

For the sake of my mentality, I'm not going to look. I know if I see a rust spot, I'm going to lose my mind and become delusional.
I'm sure mine'* clean.

This is what my new door looks like, and what the remainder of the red one looks like. The red one was worse.
The white piece in the middle is supposed to be attached to the bottom where the rust spot is...
