Straps are cheap. Hence why I replaced mine last night doing my tank.

Cut and replace.

Default Update

Finally its done!!!!
The fuel pump is now changed.
I want to thank you all for all the help.

One thing I want to say and aim at GM is
what were u guys thinking???
Very nice Idea of putting one of the strap bolts in a place where you may have
enough room for a few fingers, but not all.
Went through 5 hacksaw blades before the bolt got cut in half.
once that was done
next prob was with the fill and vapor hoses going to tank.
they didnt want to come off at all.
after 3 hours I finally broke them loose.

I may have messed up the sending unit, but wont know until I put more gas in car.
Haynes book said not to bump it,but cant help bumping it a little.
other than those,all went somthly.

Untill, I had to put a new bolt and nut in for the strap. I had to get a longer bolt
because, the new strap was about 1 1/2 ins short.
wanted to put a washer and lock washer on it, but couldnt get them on
the nut almost made me nuts!!!!

got it off the ramps, and the baby kicked right over.

ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!!!!!!
