Default problem with the clock

98 SLE

I have a strange problem with the clock. I am unable to change the minutes - when I try to set the clock the hour button works but when I hold in the minutes button all that happens is the tone and volume on the radio drops a little. It’* a little thing but bugs me when the clock is always wrong. Display works fine just wrong.

anyone have ideas or experience with this ?

not the best fix but I disconnected the battry and reconnected it exactly on the hour. clock resets to 1:00 so still can change the hour and the minutes start at 00.

Great job of finding a workaround. You may want to keep your eyes open for someone who changed there audio system, and is going to throw away their OEM radio. Seems the minute button definetly has a problem connected to it.
