Default headlight switch / dash lights p-r-o-b-l-e-m

Well, my cars dash lights/radio lights/basically all lights that have to do with interior cept dome lights are nice and bright, then after running the car a while they will dimm out, and if i play with the headlight switch they will *sometimes* become bright again, or they will just completely shut off.. my old chevy truck done this, and it was the headlight switch, is this the same deal, and can i get one through gmpartsdirect.com?

thanks, Jeff

Jeff, That headlight switch seems to be quite the problem around here lately. A few members here have had HL switch failures recently. You may want to check with BillBoost37, he has a myriad of Bonneville parts. He'* like the regional Bonneville parts distributor in NE United States.

I had a problem with my switch when I got my 94. But I was popping fuses for the parking lights. Do this - Take apart your switch, clean out the old grease, and put a small amount of new electrical grease in. This may help, it did fix my problem.

If you need help on taking the switch apart, PM me before noon and I will send pics on how to take it apart.

It'* the headlight switch. Just replace it before it fries the wires that connect to it. I did mine in a half hour (with my brother'* help).
