Default Power seats quit working, Please help.

Hey every one, for an unknown reason the power seats in my 92 SSEi stopped working, it just happened all of a sudden, me and my friend just were in the car one day having a little nap, after that we left the seats in a down position and left. After two days I started up the car again, but the sits would go in any direction (both seats), all the movement I could get from them is inflation of the back support cushions. I couldn't find any of the fuses that might have something to do with the seats. Did any one else had those problems or knows how to fix it. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Sounds like an electrical short, if part of the seats are still functional.

well the pumps that inflate the cushions are functional but the motors that move the sits arent. I am just thinking that both motors can't burn at the same time.

The problem here is that you have a short somewhere in the system. The manual provides a complicated diagnostic.... The only simple things are to check the wiring harnesses at the seats and switches, and circuit breaker No. 4 on the fuse panel.

I would try and get under the seat with a volt meter and see if the motors are getting any voltage to them via the wiring. That will at least give you an idea of what to troubleshoot next.

Problem solved, busted current breaker. They are pretty expensive 8 bucks in Canadian Tire. Thanks everyone.
