Default 99 SLE Dies when driving

99 SLE When driving it will sometimes die like you turn the key off. It will not restart right away. No check engine light. All other electrical still works. Module tested fine. Tested 3 times. Kinda stumped.Am I overlooking something else?

Check your battery cables, both ends of both cables. If they get corroded they can let enough threw to run the lights, but not enough to turn over the engine.

The engine turns over but will not fire. If you wait 10-15 minutes it will then fire and run. I also tested the coils, plug wires, looked at MAF sensor, battery cables. It is intermittent in nature. Could it be the crank sensor? I have to have a reliable vehicle for work.

When the engine will not start, does it have spark? If no spark, a crank sensor is a possibility. But check for spark before changing anything. If you keep a extra spark plug in the car, you can pull a wire and stick the extra plug in it, then lay the plug on a good ground and turn it over. That way you don't need to remove the plug to check for spark.

Hi, I have the same exact problem. When I start the car and slightly hesitate w/ the key, because I think the engine will start, the engine refuses to start. I have to wait anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes, then i'll try to start it again.
It is quite annoying and adds some anxiety when I'm on a road trip.

Same issue on mine turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor.
