Plenum Question
Am planning on changing the UIM/LIM gaskets on my '94 bonneville SE. Can't remember but was 1994 a bad year for the plenums ? I'm hoping on just replacing the gaskets or is it wise to do both gaskets and a new plenum.
Thanks for any info.

Series II engines have more of the plenum problems then series I but that not saying there is no issues with your series I upper intake. Dorman makes a good replacement upper intake manifold.

Thanks Pontiacker94......I thought the series II 3800'* were the culprit, being a cheap bastard, I'll start first with the gaskets but look mine over for any obvious signs of distress.

S2'* do have the market cornered on UIM failures. Although the plastic S1'* can fail as well.
Big thing here is checking the LIM gaskets while you are there. I'd be you'll want to replace them.
