Default Plate holder not going back on

It'* a bad week to be my car. Already due for a tire rotation (tomorrow), the millionth car wash of the season, and a headlight corner found dangling off (broken tabs, pair of clear corners already on the way). Now, my license plate holder fell off, and for the last time it seems.

The holder has seen better days, but after taking a second look at it, it'* ready for more abuse. This time, it'* the holes in the bumper that are ruined. Now, I'd just grab a couple nuts and call it a day, but if I remember correctly, that'* the part of the bumper with foam and airbag sensors behind it.

Has anyone had luck with using thicker bolts, or should I try an adhesive (Loctite, super glue, JB Weld)?

You'll have to show me how you moved the canister and PCM to fit a FWI. (Just bought/cleaned a used one. It'* on my dresser looking bored.)

Not sure when I can make it up there, but I'll let you know. I'll bring a shovel.

It still runs reliably and looks good (though in need of spring cleaning). Maybe if an SSEi or another fun car comes along at the right price, I'll trade up, but right now, the repair bills are much more tolerable than car payments.

There ya go. 5 or 6 clicks of the cailking gun, and it'll never come off. Actually my truck plate got loose, and I replaced the standard screws with next size up hex head srews from Lowes. Worked like a charm and had a Ram Tuff look to it. LOL

If you shovel properly.. I know of an SSEi with a lot of extras that'* being sold... looks a lot like the car you'd be digging out.

Pics of the FWI are in my photobucket
