Pinging sound before accelation
Now when I am going like 35 MPH then floor it there is a delay before it really picks up which i am sure it is pretty normal, but during that quarter second delay, right before it picks up it has a pinging sound like it is winding up or something, can any one tell me what that is and if it is a big conern, also when going 30 - 60 MPH or even just going 2 mph and trying to keep that speed the RPM'* range frequently changes like it jumps back and forth from RPM'* and you can really feel it in the car also. I cleaned the EGR valve and replaced the gasket but i think doing that made it worst, could my EGR valve being going bad. I hooked up the computer to and it said my EGR valve was open around 8% during idling, if i am not mistaken shouldnt it be at 0 while idling??? But its weird cause the rpms do not change when idling it has a very smooth idling. if you could help me out that would be great. Thanks
