Default Performance Shift/Normal Shift

Hi guys, ive got a question thats been bugging me for a little while.... on the 92+ theres performance shift/normal shift buttons on the center console and i realized that franky doesnt have them (*cough*randy*cough*)

now do these buttons have wires that run to the ecm or do they go somewhere else? because i was thinking of adding them in somewhere but i dont have a 97 fsm so i dont know where the wiring goes.....

Mmm Randman grabbed his 97 electrical book.

I believe these do run to the PCM, however... my butt o meter can't tell the difference in the two modes.

Without the switch, it shifts in Performance. In Normal shift, it retards the shift from the PCM default. Most can't tell.

All it does is switch a resistor into the circuit across two pins of the PCM.
