I would think so, if it is working. The blowby gases and some oil vapor from the crankcase passes through it. Some of the vapor will condense on the metal leaving a residue in the valve.

where is the PCV valve on my 92 SE EGRless engine, 188000 milles and i have never replaced it, i check out the crappy hanes manual and they give some genaeric instuction. Whene i look in the metal intake manifold it says near the back, it says sometinng about a PCV valve............ being EGRless should i get this done ASAP, (note: car idles ok but whene its at a full temp 180 warm I can feel a slight ripple)
