Default Cruise Control Part II

Well I finally got the new switches installed and they do look spiffy, however the cruise will set hold for about 3 seconds then drop off... any ideas what to check next?

Sounds like a vacuum leak problem.

I was wondering if it might be but honestly I know very little about what goes on under the hood... any suggestions about what I could check myself without taking it to a mechanic?
