Default Acorn Dents

My friend who has a '99 says that acorns falling on his car are leaving little dents, and that this did not happen on his '92. Does anyone else have this problem?

Has anybody heard of using dry ice to get out little dents?

I have heard if you let the car set in the sun for a while and put some dry ice on the little dent it will pop right out. Something about the expansion and contraction of the metal with extreme hot to cold temp changes.

I need to try something like this. I have two dents on the corners of the sun roof.

Hmm...that makes some sense.

But I dunno if it would crack the paint.

I don't know, I have never tried it myself just something I heard. Who wants to test it?

I'd test it but don't know where to get dry ice.

Default easyer then that!

We had a big hail storm a few years ago when I was on holiday in the mountains. I got some nasty dents.
You take a propane torch turn it to low setting, and go between 3 and 6'' from the metal, warm it up evenly! then take a cold wet cloth wipe it over the surface (starting at the begining of the panel as to cool a bit) do that a few times and the dent will eighter have disapeared or if you didnt do it right the first time in some lights it mite look like a dip.
if it looks like a dip then gently push it in again and try over.

^don't do the above unless you know you can do it! try with one in a door pannel (maybe someone has open there door into your car )
if say you can burry a golf ball in your dent you mite have to drill a hole and pull it out (then refill the hole and primer/paint) or buy a cheap sucction cup thing...

I'm not getting near my paint with a torch but there must be a better way to warm it up. Interesting idea.
There is also that dent thing I saw on tv once where you superglue this pad to the dent and then there is a little tool that pulls on it. It looked interesting.
