air suspension for a '97 SSE
Hey guys! My dad has a '97 SSE and he said the air compressor for the suspension isn't working. The compressor for mine ('95 SSE) is under the hood next to the air box, but i think his is by the rear passenger side tire.
When we check the air compressor switch in the trunk we can hear the relay switch, but nothing after that. He said the car has been riding a little stiff lately, but it doesn't really look like the back end is sagging. I found some posts for similar problems, but they were on '92 or '93s.
I haven't check the fuses, but does anyone know if there is a seperate fuse, relay, etc. for this compressor? If not i'm assuming a pump replacement will be needed. Any advice or similar experience? Thanks!

on the 97, the elc fuse in in the engine compartment, maxifuse center. it is a green 30amp. the key has to be on for the pump to work. Find the yellow wire at the compressor(yes, it is behind right rear tire). poke a probe through the yellow wire and ground it. this will cause the pump to start. report back.

Greg, this is off-topic, but any Bonnevillle from 92-99 that got FE2 suspension has rear air ASSIST. They are gas shocks with ELC (air) Electronic Level Control.
