Default Trunk Problems

1995 bonneville SSEi. I am having Trunk problems gettign the trunk to open via electronic. The trunk will openwith the key but the trunk latch release on the door and on the remote do not work. When i use the wireless control i hear a clicking sound in the car whenever i press it. Does this mean that the actuator is broken or some other mechanical device? Does anyone know where the wiring or mechanical parts of the trunk relase are located? Any feedback would be great thanks

You hear the relay in the car. That means the transmitter, receiver, and relay are fine. Go to the trunk. That'* where your problem is. With the trunk open, will the remote release the mechanism? But not when it'* closed? It might be a simple matter of lubing and adjusting the mechanism.

That'* the answer we really need. Will it pull the lock when opened, but not when close?
