Default Check Engine Light @ around 130-40k miles

So the other day Im driving around in my Bonne when I notice that the check engine light is on. None of the gauges showed anything wrong, so I got to my destination, and after letting the car cool for about a hour and a half I popped the hood to check my fluids. My radiator was full of coolant, and my dipstick showed that I had a full pan of oil. Nothing seems to be wrong with the car, so we have continued to drive it.
Something simular happened with our '94 Dodge Grand Caravan SE awhile ago, and we have driven that car about 50k miles, figuring it was just to get the car into the shop so that they can charge us for something. Any suggestions/advice would be great!

From my experience...it'* picking up an error code and light comes on...It could be bad sensors, wiring...etc...You should start with trying to read your error codes if any...And go from there...

Also....from what I read...your codes (some) clear after shutting off engine...So does your problem seem to always happen? or just started? In either case what I have done is simply turn off ignition....wait...(i think they say 10 secs?)....turn car back on...if light comes on again...check codes...hope that helps some...

Yes, make sure you get the code numbers. You might want to take the van in as well.
