Default demating engine and trans

I am almost ready to take out the motor in my 94 NA and have 2 questions:
First, there are six places where the trans and engine bolt together, how do i get the lowest bolt on the drivers side off? It'* the one tucked under the exhaust manifold with the long part of the trans blocking access from the bottom. Is the best way just to remove the exhaust manifold and then reinstall the bracket for the hoist back on the head?
Second, how in the hell do I take off my starter?
Thanks Jake

Starter....I don't know.

But for that one bolt on the trans....

Remove RF wheel.....Remove splash guard. Get the right socket (5/8ths I think?) Get about 4-5 ft'* worth of extenstions. Snake it in there and remove the bolt. You should beable to see that bolt once that splash guard is gone. But you gotta look pretty hard.

GM starters are usually pretty easy. I assume the battery is unhooked, make sure before unhooking the starter. Reach up on top and disconnect the battery cable (big cable) from starter and then the soleniod wire (small wire). Then you should have 2 bolts.

I am saying this as a general starter removal. Never actually done one on a 3.8 though.

Gp Purchase a Chilton'* manual #28200, that will cover pretty much every aspect of anything on your car.
