Ok here we go , am going to try and test Coil Pack Secondaries but the tester i a craftman 82411 and it only has x1k setting for OHM will this be a problem??

That'll be fine. After that test make sure power is going to the ICM. Set the meter for 12 volts DC then place the positive (red) lead on the pink/black wire going to the ICM & the negative lead on the battery while key is in the run position. There is a bolt holding the wiring harness into the ICM.

I hope you can bare with me on this? but there is no 12 volt dc setting there is tho DC V 10, 50, 250, 500 or m A DC 25, 250 also a Batt 1.5v, 9v 1.5v and AC V settings

You always want to use a higher setting than what your measuring. Looks like it'll be 25 volts DC on your meter.

Edit - oops - make that 50 volts DC

OK i gave it a whirl and there seems to be no power to the icm but i did not see those specific colors pink/black i did see yellow and i put the negitive to the negitive on the battery. no movement in the tester, i also noticed that the ground cable from the battery to the block was frayed open.

Some years are a pink wire. If I recall correctly it'* on the end of the connector left side.

Ok i tryed again with no luck . now what should i do? anybody live in st,paul mn that has a few min?

Let'* make sure the meter is set correctly. Just check the battery & see if the meter is showing 12 volts.

well i tested the battery and there seems to be no 12 volt reading on here lol but the needle read dcv mA 75 not sure how to read this but i have a electrition on his way over here should be here now. ok he here and said that i needed to read the 50 line and its at 12 volts so most be set up right? going to have him help me test the icm
