Default sunroof ratchets

I have both a 93 SE and a 97 SSE that have sliding sunroofs. The 93'* works just fine, stops and starts, no noise. But, the 97 SSE won't stop moving until I hit the button a second time. If I forget, a real annoying ratchet sound happens like the motor is stripping gears. To get it to the tight closed position, I have to fiddle with it up and down to get it just right. So, the question is: Is it a motor problem? Or, is there something I need to adjust? For either, how difficult is it to get to the motor or the controller to adjust the stops? I found a few bonnies in the bone yard with sunroofs but would hate to start ripping off the interior roof panel to find something I don't know what I am looking for.

Thanks for directing me to the previous forum replies. Sounds like I have to either be brave and remove the headliner or just live with me being the limit switch for travel. An expensive repair for a little heartache. I live in Pittsburgh, so it is not too often that I actually use the thing. Between the rain and the cold, about 10 days of good use. But, it sure does looks good!!! Isn't that part of the "need" for the option???!!?!?!
