More trouble
Ok folks, here goes......I have a Check Engine light that has been on and off for the last 2 weeks. It will come on for a while and then I will ignore it and just drive on and the next thing I know it will be off. Well I finally managed to have it on when I got the codes read. The only one in memory was 0106. It supposedly was something about manifold pressure/barometric pressure, etc. I have never heard of such on a car. Any body give me some insights as too what is truly going on and how to fix it. I left the shop after having it read and b4 I got home it was back off.........go figure ........HELP???
Thanks, DD

The MAP sensor can be tested with a voltmeter. Depending on how expensive it is, I would just replace it if it'* only like $10. If you want to test it first then you have to be able to apply vacuum at the MAP vacuum port while measuring the voltage. Let us know if you want the full set of directions.
Probably the easiest way to test it is with the Tech II or comparable tool, if you have one!
The MAP sensor is a Series II thing. It is mounted to the PCV valve cover.
