Guys, I need UIM cores!
I Just shipped out my last sleeved upper, guys. If any of you have a bad Seres II UIM lying around, please take a moment to box it up and send it to me. I'll pay freight to 95020.
I like to have a few done and ready to ship for when the inevitable happens.
Thanks!

Brandon, you ****. You took the last one! Glad you got a good solution.
It would be cool to see about 5 cores sitting on the shelf. I smell increased demand for these.

I'll watch for them around Flint. In these parts the 3800 is so popular that they're easy to find.
My sleeved upper is working great! Almost 30,000 on her and not one issue!

Can't seem to find it anywhere one here, and this appears to be a decent place to ask: what exactly are you doing to these things? Pictures help my simple mind

top view of first photo. I think instead of reaming the manifold, the machinist decided to ream me. Note that it'* a bit off-center. About .015, I'd say.
My dirtball sleeve sits atop the upper, ready for installation. I used some #320 wet-or-dry sandpaper to rough up the hole a bit to give the JB weld some tooth for good adhesion. Wound up with a very light press fit.
All done. Note that the sleeve sticks up into the airstream quite a bit. This is for the cooling effect by the rushing intake air mentioned in previous posts.

I believe Bob has posted better pics somewhere, but this gives you the right idea.
