Default Is this scanner good to read my codes?

Here is a picture of the scanner, although I don't have the proper connector yet. I actually borowed it.

That is what the dealer uses for OBD1 vehicles.

Thanks Will, but does that mean that I can't use it on the 95 SSEi since I need a OBD 1.5?

Will mentioned "That is what the dealer uses for OBD1 vehicles" does that mean it will also read ABS codes?

Thanks jr's3800

No. You need a special serial reader that interfaces with the connector on the EBCM.

Default Clearing the SDM (Airbag Module)

Has anyone had the pleasure of having deployed Air bags in a 96 SSEi ?

I was told that it says in the Service manual that if the airbags deploy you have to change them and the front sensor but not the SDM module under the passenger seat.

You do have to clear the codes from the SDM however and I'm wondering what tool/scanner I need to get to do this job.

I did buy another SDM from Ebay from a non deployed car, but am still waiting for it to arrive.

I'm wondering if I can just reuse the current SDM (I have it out of the car now and am scared to install it in case the bags deploy by themselves).

Thx for any advice...
Please PM me as I have emails turned off due to the huge volume
