Is this the 3800 SC or is it the 3800 Series II NA?

Big diffrence in Oil pan gaskets

I was just looking at his sig, looks like its SC... That would be a rubber gasket If memory serves...

The series II will have a Plastic windage tray of sorts with the gasket imbeded, I think it will cost near or a bit over $40 for the gasket, make sure you have on oil pick up tube gasket, You'll need one...

S2 SC has the wind tray too. Big plastic tray with the gasket inlaid.

Yes.. expensive for a gasket.

The toughest part of replacing the pan and gasket on my 99 was finding that damn gasket... None of the local auto parts stores sell it. I ended up going to the dealer and he found me a close match that I had to custom cut. Even the dealer partsman was baffled that they didn't carry it. Been a good 35K by now....I'd say it'* holding up!
