Default 96 bonneville-obd2 connector missing 8th pin?

hi their, I am trying to program a new keyfob to my 96 Bonneville. I read the directions , looked at the connector diagram wich shows the wide part of the connector being the top with 1-through 8 holes. The directions state to ground 4 and 8 pins, the issue I am having is their is no metal pin in the 8th hole. is this common, do I have a different connector style or do I have another issue all together, ty

You have a different issue all together. You have no keyless entry. If it wasn't installed at the factory, then you didn't get the 8th pin.

But, we can double verify if you take a picture of the RPO sticker on the spare tire cover I can check to see if it did come with it.
