Default Ok...

Well it turns out that the reason the temp was going so high was that the 195 that was in it was stuck. So he put a new 195 in. Anyways, if it needs to be changed to a 180 later I will have it done. It only costs 10 bucks plus labor.
He also looked over my car and says that he would not sell it. The body looks great (needs some minor rust repair) and he said the rest looks great. I am going to get the water pump and the other problem fixed, Im just so happy I wont have to end up driving some new 2003 Grand Am or something.
Btw took one out for a test drive yesterday. It maybe new, and it maybe 400 bucks a month, but id rather have my little bit of rust on my 92 than that hunk of crap!! I still love this car.
So Ive had the supercharger oil changed, the oil was changed today, the filter was fine, the breaks are great (had new ones on last fall) the thermostat Im ok with right now, if you guys push me though I can have the 180 in, but if its not gonna kill the car, I wont worry too much right now. What else needs done? Remember when I cleaned the engine last fall????? Well Ive gotten a few compliments on it. The pontiac salesman assumed it was done by the dealer...lol.

Then came the part I figured....he asked me out to dinner. Well well well, guess your right Will, I got perty good gut instincts eh???? He musta told all the boys at the shop that he was gonna ask me out, cause boy oh boy did I get treated really well. Like I was a friggin queen.....lol. Gosh, wish I got that kinda service everyday!!!
Anyways, he said it took everything in him to ask me as he is shy, but I had to turn him down....I also mentioned that he can continue to work on the car when I come in as long as any deal that he offers me is cause he is a nice guy and not expecting anything out of it.
I think he is just a nice guy that was hoping I would say yes. Cant help but feel a little bad for him.....

Ah, ya turned the poor boy down... He probably is just a nice guy. The 180 t stat isnt that big of priority, so if I were you I wouldnt worry bout it. Also when ya say the filter was fine, did they not change it?

Just not ready for another relationship now.

Thats weird, didnt realize he told you he was a nice guy. Guys that have to tell people that they are nice arent, but they know how to make the appearance of. Like you said it is something that shold be observed and not told.
About your filter... when you change your oil, you always change the filter...

Thanks for the heads up on the filter, guess he was trying to gain my trust by keeping the costs low,( it was only an extra $8....)??? And not saying that I need it????
Ya and a real turn off is when the guy sounds really desperate! Hmmmmmmmm now I wonder if I should use this guy again or not...little uncomfortable now!

Oil filters only cost like 2-4 bucks, the $8 dollar ones, like at walmart, have x2'* the protection and you can keep em in for like 7 thousand miles.

Glad you got through it all Kimmers. I had the same suspicions you did. Women'* intuition wore off on me after 10 years of marriage.

When you're ready for the 180, we'll talk you through it. You'll get more satisfaction out of doing it yourself. My Lilpooky (13 and a GIRL) did my last one.

All these 16-18 year old guys want to date her now.

Will,
I'm wishing you luck. Been there Done That already.
You're in an even worse situation. You've got a princess that can fix her own car.
