i will soon be changing my more-than-worn out belts...so in the process, should i change out my *.c. pulley? i do NOT want to sacrifice my mileage, and i certainly do NOT want to run my *.c. beyond a speed that it is supposed to run...will changing the pulley shorten the life of the *.charger?

making things work will wear things out. making htings work harder could wear out quicker. Id suggest doing other mods before you change a supercahrger pully in my opinion its not worth your time if your looking for gas milage and a everyday driver...thoguh i could be wrong

Bean, going down one step (from 3.8 to 3.6) probably won't affect your mileage that much, if you only use it when you need the speed. The extra RPM'* are well within the 'safe' operating range of the M90. There'* alot of guys running 'hotter' pulleys with no probs. These Eatons are tough as hell.

o.k. great. thanks. i'll run my q. by mr. pulley and see what he has to say. i am assuming that this is a pretty easy job if i have the belts off anyways right? also, i am going to replace my brake shoes/pads...nothing new here...is there? antilock or anything...will it stop me? i have done brakes a bunch of times on several cars, but not on antilock equipped jobs. one last thing...will, do i need to get a higher flow exhaust before i change out the pulley? don't want to create more constipation than there is stock

Brian will bend over backwards for you. You'll like him. You'll need a puller for the Series 2. You may be able to rent it from PB. I know either ZZP or the GPstore has one to rent with a deposit. For your brakes, nothing special. All the ABS/Traction stuff is behind the hubs. Your exhaust will be ok with the smaller pulley, but you'll eventually want to open it up. You'll feel the torque for damn sure.

I some-what agree here! Performance & Gas Mileage DON'T mix! That I agree with! Certain parts wearing out, well that'* a matter of opinion here. Hard working parts are/should be made of a material to handle/protect them from wear too though!

what are you getting mileage wise? i am fully aware that "performance and mileage don't mix"...but....um have you guys noticed the price of premium lately? i'm literally a couple of cents short of $2/gal. where i live. and to top it off, i just can't keep my foot from mashing the pedal so, trying to get a bit of performance without killing my mileage....at least until after the war...can you blame me? and just a quick side note...um i have come to understand that we only procure 3% of our oil from Iraq....so why the hay are our prices going up? arg.

ouch! well, i won't complain too much then...but i still am going to be stubborn about my mileage for now.

I'm running 29 now, if I have a long highway trip with the cruise at 70. It'* been a couple months since I calculated it, but that was my last one. I can't bring myself to keep my foot out of it often enough to keep tabs. Keep in mind, if that sounds high, I'm running a brand new O2 sensor, and my Jet chip not only gives me better performance shifting, but it also shifts LOWER if I keep my foot light on the throttle. My fuel economy actually raised from the chip when I'm in granny mode (don't have the lead shoes on). I think you should be getting 24/25 on the freeway.....does that sound right for a Series II L67? There'* a site somewhere to get your original window sticker, but even those numbers will be subjective.
