I am not sure what willwren meant by ECT ??? But if it is electronically controlled transmission, I have heard where cars can stall because the torque converter will not unlock when you come to a stop. This can then stall the engine. I'll look in my FSM....

OK, from my '95 FSM under "rough, unstable, or incorrect idle, stalling we have:
vacuum leaks
PCM grounds and wiring
injector balance
fuel in FPR hose (bad FPR)
evaporative emission control
o2 sensor
ignition system, wires, plugs, etc.
cylinder compression
wrong cam, worn cam, weak valve springs
throttle linkage for sticking or binding
EGR system
IAC system
A/C signal to PCM (check with scan tool)
PCV system
broken motor mounts
generator output voltage
cruise control cable binding or out of adjustment
The definition for this problem is: Engine runs unevenly at idle. If severe, the engine or vehicle may shake. Engine idle speed may vary in RPM. Either condition may be severe enough to stall engine.

fuel
In addition to Bills suggestions.
Pull the vacuum hose off the fuel regulator and check for a gas smell, It could have failed.
TPS should also be checked for smooth voltage operation throughout its range of movement.

Well it does not look good, pin pointed it down to a break in the wire harness, also found out that befor i had the car it was overheated and engine was not rebuilt when it happened, just cleaned the pistons did not do the rings and put new heads on it. now the rings are pretty much shot and is burnning oil like crazy, shoving blue smoke out the pipe constently. the car is getting hot real quick. oil pressure is going crazy. Well it looks like thats all she wrote. im going to have to get rid of the greenbean asap to get as much for her as i can.
