95 ssei no heat
my 95 ssei has a problem with my turbo, when I first start it up I hear a loud noise and then when I rev th engine I get a clankin noise and then it goes away.
Also it will not blow heat just cold air. There are no codes poppin up.What could this be?By the way this car only has 80,000 miles on in and is garage kept

first of all its not a turbo its a Supercharger, the clanking noise could be a coupler but ill let the pros chime in
it also seems that you have a problem with the air mix door acuator with the no heat problem

THE LOGO ON THE CARS SAY:
supercharged..
honestly, people should know the differences
supercharger is rounded off and blocky, a turbo looks like a flattened can on steroids

Very nice folks, now about your problems.
I bet 1993 SLE has it right. If you listen to the noice in the engine bay, does it appear to be coming from that big thing on top of the engine? If so, that'* your supercharger and Pat is right about it being a coupler.
It costs about 80 dollars total in parts to change the coupler. You'll need the coupler itself, 2 bottles of supercharger oil (technically you need only 1, but get the second anyway), a supercharger gasket, 2 yellow coolant o-rings, a throttle body gasket, and while you're at it, the fuel injector gasket set since you'll need to pull they injectors anyway.
Regarding the heat, I haven't had that problem with my 95, but I've heard the response to that over and over being what 1993 SLE said again.. the air mix actuator door.

Supercharger couplers don't make clanging noises. Harmonic balancers do. Check for cracks in the rubber face of the harmonic balancer (crank pulley).
We may need a better description of your problem to go on.
For the rest of you, please make an effort to stay on topic.

The no heat situation is mostl ikely the air mix, which is behind the dash its staying shut most likely, hows your temp reading on the dash getting really hot? or normal, i had the same situation for the first few weeks of winter, wasnt pretty bought thats what the issue was on the 95 ssei, if you remove your glove box you may be able to fiddle with the actuator door either keep it open or closed, that was my situation maybe some other members will chime in about this situation and what kind of monkey rigging you could do in the mean time if you really need the heat,
