Default Odd power...

Well, I've got an odd power band (or whatever you want to call it...) on my 92.. If I go WOT when my can is warm, the engine will bog down until the RPM come up... but, if I only go 5/8 to 3/4 throttle, I get a ton of power, enough to chirp the tires...
I get a similar problem when I'm driving, if I'm at about 50-70 kph, the engine will bog down until the rpm slowly come up, or I give it more gas so it'll shift down.... any ideas on what that could be?

One other thing, and I don't remember if I posted about it... When the car is warm, and I shut if off, and let it sit for 10-15 mins, if I go to restart it, it will just crank for 30 - 45 seconds before it will turn over, and finally fire up... I've already replaced the fuel sender and pump, so I know its not lack of fuel, along with this, touching the gas has not effect. The coil pack is a known good set, and I know the battery is good, with clean terminals... This car allways seems to take more to start, more than the 95 SSEi, and more than my 90 SSE (which has sat for 8 months now, without being started, I went to start it sunday, and *vrooom* fired up within a second, and purred like a kitten).. This is something that just constantly bothers me, and has me baffled....

Any ideas?

Thanks!

What'* your fuel pressure in these conditions (warmed up very well):

1. Key on (no start) hold for two seconds, off, then on for two, off, then on. (3 times, 2 second prime).

2. At idle.

3. At idle with the vacuum line pulled off the regulator.

How old is your catalytic converter, and does it make any noise when you kick it?

Well, fuel pressure I'll have to see if I can get a guage... I've only got a vacuum guage...

The cat is still good.. the exhaust on the 92 is off of the 95, which had TONS of power (30- 40' blackies, bone stock...) The only noise I get is from the supercharger, which is the that nice howl... I've gutted my airbox, and taken the snorkel off of it...

There'* nothing to gut in a Series 1 airbox. Let'* get more specific on that with regards to your problem. Are you sucking hot air from your engine bay? What did you do to the box?

Just because the cat came from another car doesn't mean it'* still good.

Ok, when I say 'gut' my airbox, I mean that I've got the 'resonating chambers' covered to allow smooth airflow, along with the snorkle pulled off, so there is even less air restriction...

I'm 95% sure that the cat that is on the car now is good... winter just finished here, and I can see my exhaust as I drove.. as it should....
