Also after coming home I smelled smoke coming from my engine and popped my hood and something was letting off some smoke. Any ideas why once and a while my car won't start up and why this part of my engine is smoking?
Here is a link to the pic of my engine the part that was smoking is circled in red.
If I am seeing what you circled correctly, that is your EGR valve. Maybe some coolant or oil is leaking onto the hot pipe and causing smoke?
Your car does not have a distributor or a distributor cap.
Are you saying that sometimes the starter spins and turns the engine but the car does not start?
