Default OBDII Software for Laptop

Can someone please recommend OBDII software I can load on a laptop that can record sensor data, e.g., throttle position, air mass flow, coolant temp, egr on/off, etc. ? I would prefer a high sampling rate in order to be able to detect intermittent failures.

The only one that I know of that has a good high sample rate is HP tuner. They sell just the scanning software. The rest I've used have been a little slow on sample time.

Dan:
HP Tuner is a bit pricey. Do you have any experience with OBDLink Scan Tool and the ScanXL Pro software? What about AutoEnginuity'* scan tool? They're both about $100 cheaper than HP.

I've used autoenginuity, not bad, but enhanced codes cost more. I also used myscantool but no enhanced scanning. Cost is under $100 I believe.

I love HP Tuners, it was a great investment if you plan on messing around with the car for a while. Your best bet is to watch forums and Ebay for a used one.
