i mean, i can see that the cover gets cut-up, but then what? how do you attatch the metal to the plastic? etc. etc.
okay, so it'* prolly really simple, but i'm not really thinking outside of the box right now. in fact, i don't know if i'm even thinking inside of the box right now...

Maybe that person who is selling them has access to a 5-Axis CNC mill and then uses a PVC type glue to hold the mesh on? Could possibly be silicone RTV.

Then is the grill mesh like chicken coop fence? How did you cut the hole in the plastic? Im thinking draw it out, then get a knife and make a small line divit then get a dremel and use the line as a guide...? Sound do-able?

i drew it with pencil, then just went at it with the dremel...went through a dozen heavy duty cutting wheels..
the mesh is grill guard available at home improvement stores for like $1.49
jb all around the edges and ur set

is it safe to just take the cover off? i noticed quite a few electical wires/connections. any danger of screwing those up with the cover off? it seems that the engine would be able to cool down a lot better without the extra insulation of the cover.
