smoking bad after UIM AND Intake gasket install
I still have the problem with smoking after changing the engine and doing the UIM and LIM Gaskets. IT smokes white and blue and their is oil in the pvc valve. The engine has on 70000 miles on it. I had alot of oil in the exhuast from the previous engine blow up and have let this car run for hours and it does not clear up. ANy suggestions would be grealty appreciated. The plugs are clean.. and the engine runs excellent.

If there was a huge failure prior to the UIM replacement, there will more than likely be some coolant/water left in the exhaust. The cat converter is like a sponge in that regard. If your plugs are fine (I hope you changed them after the UIM install), I wouldn't be too concerned. The exhaust is just burning out what is left of the coolant that is trapped in there.
EDIT: I see you had a huge failure. Oil will take a long time to burn out of the exhaust.

What year and model do you have?
Is there a link to a prior thread about the problems?
The pcv will be oily. That is normal..as long as it'* not full.

I have run this car alot, but did not have it out on the road, becasue of no registration or state inspection. I still get alot of smoke when it gets up to operatiing temperature. The plugs look great and there is no coolant smell in the exhaust, Just blue smoke. I just changed out the o2 sensor , because it of it starting to run bad, now it runs great just smking when really hot. I am using no oil or coolant. The engine ran fine out of the donor car, but I did not get it that hot. I have double checked everything and it has to be the cat is full of oil. The previous owner how a huge UIM failure and threw a rod and had oil coming out the tailpipe from thinned oil. SHould I just keep trying to burn this off by running it and holding it at say 1500 RPMs or should I pull the exhaust down? Or can it be something else, etc valve stem seals??? It is a 1995 bonneville sle with a 97 gp engine. Thanks for you ideas.
