Anybody have any tricks or ideas on how to remove the belt, it seems the motor mount is in the way; Or do I have to take out the motor mount?
Thanks

on the Series II you do have to remove the Torque-Axis to get the belt off

No you don't need to remove the mount..
You do have to remove the lowest bolt on the mount and pop out the sleeve thats between the mount and the engine. Then the belt will come right out. Some people support the engine with a jack and 2x4 but I have replace the belt with out supporting the engine. If you can't get the lower bolt in, then maybe try supporting the engine to line it up.

It'* just like 95nasta said.

Raise side of car
Pull tire
pull plastic shield
Take nut off bottom torq mount.
Use stud remover (reverse torx drive) to pull stud
Slide stud sleeve out from behind mount.
Old belt out, new in
Route belt and install
Reassemble car.

Probably a 45min job.

You could go through the side to see it better, but I just went through the top when I did it.

Remembering that mine is an SC vs the NA being worked on in this thread. Getting this from the top is interesting. I can't see any way on mine.

I really need to start kneeling on my car.

Default How to lift?

Do you apply any force on the oil pan to support the motor? And which side of the car do you lift? Right or left.

I watched my dealer do the job at 60 K miles and he seemed to have lifted from the left side and the right was raised some but not as much as the right.

They did NOT remove the right front tire. They just had it turned all the way sideways (right).
