What are the proper oil and refridgerant recharge quanities for a 95 Bonneville?

Mike, I know the '97 takes 2 lbs R134 and I posted the PAG oil capacity a while back too (can't find it right now). However, you really need to get input from someone with the '95 FSMs before you do too much.
Has or will the system be completely evacuated and all the components replaced? If not, then the amount of PAG oil you put in is determined by which components you have replaced and how much oil you got out of them. Too much oil isn't very good for your system just as too little is bad, just for different reasons.

These capacites should be located on the strut tower by the AC low pressure fitting, on the rad support and in the owners manual. Do not rely on other years for specs....it might be slightly different and could cause issues.

Also, if you break integrity on the a/c sytem for any reason to replace a component whatever, you should evacuate the system with a roughing pump to remove non condensable gases. It should be pumped down to 21" of vacum or better and should hold vacum for a specified time period (drop test) Then it would be time to re-fill the system with the appropriate quantity of hfc134a and PAG oil.

I just looked at my sticker and it says its 2.2 lbs of R-134a and PAG oil. So, is that 1.1 lbs of R-134a and 1.1 lbs of oil?

Being a 95 there system should have 2.0 lbs of R134 and I forget what the oil capacity is, but it sure isn't 1.1 lb... I'm too far from my service manual to research at the moment tho
