Lower O-ring for PCV valve size?
I just bought a Chilton manual for 88-99 year bonnevilles and it says I am supposed to have a lower o ring in my 93 bonneville but I dont so does anyone know what size it is or maybe a part number?
I talked to a couple autoparts stores and they looked at me like I was stupid. The pcv valve body setup is different than the common ones. I couldn't find any info on what type to buy and was thinking that my slight idle problem could be caused by gases escaping where they shouldnt.

I'm not sure if you can buy just the ring, but at gmpartsidirect.com they sell a PCV kit that includes the rings...or so thats how I understand it.
My lower ring was jet black so make sure you didn't overlook it before you buy one.

Is it really thin? I looked, had a rag and needle nose plyers and everything down in it.
I was concerned because there is always residue, it looks like left over gas, on the pcv valve and upper o ring and spring. So I figured something might be escaping thats not supposed to.
Do you have the dimensions of the o-ring? Or even better a picture?
Thanks guy

The chilton'* book does have info about a upper and lower o ring. I went down to autozone a couple weeks back and just got a set of black o rings, various sizes, slid a tight fitting one over the bottom to the point were it hits the rim. I can't tell any difference. Must not be very important.

Make sure you get a round one (had to at least THINK I was helping here).
My last PCV valve came with an O-ring, and I'm damn glad it did. Get'* kind of nasty in there. You only want this sucker breathing one way. The o-ring keeps the wrong way from happening.

O rings are round. Rubber washers aren't.
How thick is yours. I would still like to see a picture of someone'* pcv valve with o ring in place so I know I got the right position and size.
