What tranny would I have with my '96 H body with the N/A 3800 engine??
I know it'* not the heavy duty one. When did they switch all the H bodies to the heavy duty tranny??

you have the 4t65e tranny. The heavy duty versions are only but on the supercharged 3800 cars.

Oops. My unfinished timeline. Well, the tranny part is correct, so YES, that will answer it. Tranny and engines are all correct.
