Default Car Bra!

I finally got my car bra on and some pics of it. It only took like 4 months to get here! I think it looks nice though. You can see pics on my other site here.

If you decide to get one here are a few tips:
1) Find out if it has the headlight sprayer openings. Mine does but I don't have them.
2) The piece in the middle of the grill is designed to match the other logo. Mine is a Pontiac symbol inside a circle instead of the stand alnoe symbol.
3) Some have openings for license plates. Mine does but I also need to get my front plate back on too, being law here and all.

Overall It fits quite nice. The minor descrepincies aren't a big deal to me. It'* padded on the back and is somewhat easy to install. The directions they give you really suck though. It cost me around $100 US w/ shipping included. I order mine from carbras.com which use perfect fit for their vendor.

Well, I got the full bra but what do you guys like best?

I prefer the hood only. I got mine (don't laugh) from www.jcwhitney.com it'* made by saddleman, though. Well respected. Cost me 34 bucks (us). Anybody like us would be better off witht the following advice......HEAVILY wax your car underneath the bra with several coats of paste wax, and keep it fresh. Re-painting a hood because of bra wear would suck. I know lots of people with this problem.

Another thing to remember about bras ( hee hee.. the car ones.. ) is that it'* ill advise to use it in winter ( applies to anyone that has to deal with it ) since it traps the salt water, and ice against your paint job.. if you're going to get one.. please remove it before the salt trucks come out..

I don't like car bras. Usually they are a sign of paint damage being covered up on the car. and If there isn't paint damage, usually there is. While it blocks stones from hitting and chipping the paint, often rain and condensation with built behind the bra "eat" at the paint. bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.

I agree. The only thing a bra is good for is on a woman.

Oh! you men are all alike.

but don't worry, Gordy, I had the same problem as you, making those bras fit. They just don't make them like they used to!

I'm not going to touch that one. The comment, I mean. Not your bra.

Damn! I'm starting to sound like Drifter!

Ok, I'll shut up now.
