Default Heat problems Help!!!!

Ok I have a 96 Olds LSS supercharged. I just bought this car 2 weeks ago and noticed that when the heater is on it only blows hot on the drivers side. Is it an actuator or is my cars heat system vacuum operated? Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks Dan you guys are awesome on this forum, I have never got feed back on this sort of stuff this fast. I have been looking around the forum and have tried some of the things the site members have suggested and now I have me heat blowing on the passenger side but not real hot like the driver side and not as much coming out either.

Hi,

Have you checked the obvious......making sure that the passenger temp switch is moved all the way to full heat?

Your car being dual temp should have two airmix actuators. If the passenger side temp switch is on full hot than the next step would be to find the passenger side actuator and observe its movement with changing the temp at the switch.

Todd I have tried just about everything simple. I do not know where the passenger side actuator is the view it. The main one is working fine but it blows cold on the passenger side even if the controls for the passenger side is off. I bought my car pretty cheap and dont really want to spend a whole lot of money on the car. But I guess I might have to.
