1992 SSEi TPS throttle position sensor plug question Code 22
One of my Bonne'* is giving me hard time. My 92 SSEi is acting up a bit. I was on vacations for 2 months, so i haven't drove any of my SSEi'* and now i am getting a Service Engine soon coming on and off on my 92. I checked the code and i got code 22 for throttle position sensor ( TPS ). I looked at it, it looked pretty NEW, the last owner musta changed it right before i got it. I saw the plug is dried up and broken but i still think it makes contact with sensor. Any idea? Change the plug first? Where do i get the plug besides Dealer? Also if it doesn't solve the problem, do i change the TPS again just in case is a cheap aftermarket? Any help would be great. Looking to sell it soon since i am moving back home to MD, but i don't want the new owner to hate it!!

Tough to say. A bad connection can cause that error and maybe the dried up plug is causing a bad connection when the engine is running.
Heck..I'd probably try the plug first. Junkyard would be a good option for the connector/wiring.

Well, yesterday morning i went and started the car, the service engine soon light was on. i popped the hook and took good look at the sensor. It musta been replaced soon as i got it which is not too long ago. I touched it, and i notice the sensor was loose! Someone forgot to tie down the screw. I tied it down, reset the computer, hasn't see the light since!
