Sounds like you TCC "Torque Converter Clutch" may be sticking and needs to be replaced. I think there is the wiring harness going into the top of bell housing. I'm not sure how easy this is to replace, but it may be worth taking to a Transmission shop to see what they think

True Car Nut
How does the car run? Is it fairly smooth? If so, I would check for air filter restrictions. If the air filter is good, then check the catalytic converter <when the car is cold, hit it with a rubber mallet to see if it rattles>. The reason I ask is because if it is ignition related, that usually causes an uneven firing, which will make stuff shake. If it is fuel related, it usually makes the car chug or cough. The only other thing would be perhaps a timing issue, but I think the computer would have figured something out by now and thrown a Service Engine Soon light.

damn that is really what i was afraid of was a bad cat so i was trying to ignore the fact that it could be that and the air filter is brand new. so the cat will rattle if it is bad? hell i may just go ahead and get the magnaflow exhaust if i gotta cut the exhaust to get to the cat
