Windshield washer jets frozen...
OK Bonneville Nuts....Here'* the dilemma for the day.
The temperature here in Central New York got down to about 15F last night - not incredibly cold by our standards, but pretty chilly for this time of year - it rained, then got cold, so lots of ice/black ice. Anyway. I woke up this morning, started the car, blah, blah, blah....Left to go to work, windshield was dirty, hit the washers - NOTHING. 3/4 full tank of fluid, so no problem there. But try as I might, I got NOTHING, just the whining strain of the washers trying to do their job but failing miserably. It worked yesterday during the day, so common sense tells me: FROZEN. :?
So here'* the questions:
1. Do the nozzles plug up/freeze up unusually easily on the Bonnie?
2. Do you recommend a particular fluid to prevent this, and not harm the body work in any way? I used an alcohol-based low-temp fluid with my previous car and it discolored any plastics in the windshield area.
Thanks all.....

Rain-X makes this spray stuff that will melt any ice, as well as clean your windshield. I always use that instead of the washer fluid.
I think Rain-X might sell it in washer fluid form, I think I saw it at Wal-Mart the last time I was there.
