Stant SuperStat?

Has anyone had good luck running a Stant SuperStat thermostat? Picked up a 195* today part # 45849 and am not sure if I like how it is made. When this thermostat is fully open flow is restricted more than the stock thermostats.

Hmm, where did you get it from? Might of been worth it to pick up a 180 stat as well, since I see that your in Alabama and can get pretty toasty down there.

I think you should get a 180 stat. You're engine will be much happier in the summer.

I will change back to 180* in the spring.
The week of Christmas it did not go above 32* here. It is 60* now but will be cold for the next several weeks.

You can have the 180 in pretty low temps. I kept mine in all year long through a kansas and PA winter. Just takes a little longer to warm up the car....(remote start solves that problem).
