I would say check your fuel pressure. Sounds like your running out of fuel and leaning out. Pull the plugs and take a look. If they are anything but a light gray take pictures and post them.

mine did something similar after i got her up and running from sitting for 3 yrs... it got worse as i drive and i examined and 2 plugs had incy wincy hairline fractures in the insulation and it was grounding out thru the crack once the plugs warmed up... so check them WELL... and make sure you get good brand plugs, wires, and 02 sensors if you replace them... these cars dont take kindly to lower grade parts... they like oem
do you have a SES light on??? if so you might want to try to get it scanned, that would help us with where to look further... but make sure its a odb 1.5 scanner... its a 1.0 computer system with a 2.0 data link plugin so you need a techII scanner or 1.5 code reader... its a pain but i feel ya

If you take a spray bottle filled with water and mist the plugs, wires, and coils while running, then turn the lights off and watch in the dark. You will see blue flashes if anything is arching to ground.
