Default Gas gauge delay

Searching this forum I found reference to a Gas guage delay used in later models to stop the infamous "floating needle". I would like to remove this annoyance from my 1992 Bonne.

Does anyone know which models have the delay? Is it a module or is it integrated into the insturment cluster or gas guage itself?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Drew

If I have half a tank and romp on it, it will go to full. Hit the brakes hard enough, it will go empty.

Yeah, that'* it allright. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I am assuming this is a "GM" feature and is not something physically wrong with the sender. I have had other GM'* that did it but this one seems pretty bad.

The delay is supposed to slow things down enough to get a steady reading. I will post my solution if I find one.
