when a ses light comes on with a obd2 system , it either has to be cleared by a scanner or a certain number of igniton cycles. 9 out of 10 times, the light is set for an evap leak code after refueling, if you leave your car run when filling up, or just not tighing the gas cap, will set the code. i do know why chrysler, if you still have a warr. on your car and take it in for that code, they will definitly charge you for the scan time. the call it , owner inflicted.
the best thing to do is to make sure that the cap clicks a few times everytime you take it off.
