EGR Valve Cleaning Questions
I have never done this procedure before. Anything I should specifically do while doing this, like pouring Seafoam down the passages or something like that?

Here'* one that I think will help. Get a gasket before you start and make sure the engine is cooled down.

Techinfo was the first place I looked and could not find anything on the subject. Even a forum search.
DOH!, thanks for the info. It would be nice though if the authors of their own threads would modify their subject from "OMG I NEED HELP HERES PICS" to "Problem fixed, how to clean EGR". Or mayby im just being a whiny bitch, in which case im sorry. But thanks for the info.

Yeah, sorry about not getting to ya on this one. I WAS too busy goofing off in the lounge today, I'll admit.
As far as thread tiltes go, I'll agree with you there and try to suggest new titles when I think of it. I'm constantly using search and have found that, using the right search parameters helps me a lot, even when the titles don't. Takes some practice.

lmfao Bill, that is funny. You need to tell em, to make sure he unplugs the battery first or he'll set off a bad code on the ECU if he unplugs the Digital EGR without unpluggin the battery - lol

You know your better off buying a new EGR instead of cleaning it. They're not much at all and it will benefit you to have a new EGR instead of that ole 160,000 mile one you want to clean up. - lmao
