I seem to have a leak somewhere into the car, and water is collecting in the floor of the passenger side back seat. I can't trace back to where the water is getting into the car.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

Majority of the times it is leaking from the rear window seals(upper corner). Take apart the back dash and have a friend run water of the rear with a hose, while you sit inside the car and check.

I too have had this exact problem. I started this Labor Day weekend when I was coming back from Mexico. It rained really hard from Oklahoma City all the way in to Illinois. Then a week later it rain hard as I was on the express way and again it took in water.

Most of the water was under the rug. I wonder if it came from under the car, door seals, or even from the trunk lid because under the back seats it was damp. My cousin also took in water in his car during the road trip, he blame the air conditioning console in the back.

I used under-coat paint under the car a few weeks ago, but it has felt wet again. This past Friday it rain, but not really hard so I guess I have to wait for another down pour to really see if it happens again. Oh yeah I resealed the screw on the rear spoiler using plummer putting.

I have this problem as well but have yet to address it as I'm replacing the motor right now. It'* on the oppisite side as well but in the same place. I thought it was coming from the trunk? I'll try the dash removal Roadrash. Thanks.

:( I have a 94 se ( 159,000+) that I bought used at 75,000 and had my share of problems but i still have water in the rear. Last year I removed the rear seats, pulled back the carpet and found a hole the size of my fist above the wheel well. It rusted thru. I used a large tube of silicone and screwed down a patch of metal, then I caulked and undercoated the entire area underneath. I thought that was it. Well a year later and I have water again. I thought it might be the rear window since it was replaced 2 years ago with a bad seal job. Or it could be the rusted rocker on the front passeger side. I did a water test on all the seals and sun roof when I did the patch and it was good.
I'am about to give up but I really love this car even though Ive had problems.
Anyone have any other idea'* ? The local body shop guy is not much help.

its teh weatherstripping...dealers want a lot of $$$ to fix it...i just bought some miscalanous(sp) weatherstripping from kmart and put it up in the corners of the window to try to keep water out...you can try to glue the weatherstripping back on but i duno if its worth it...im gunan try some expanding wall insulation foam this summer see if i can get it to work...

The lower seal on the rear window is the common leak point for water in the trunk. Check your spare tire well. If it has water in the bottom, chances are this is your leak.

The most common leak point for water in the car itself is the pillar drains for the sunroof. They get plugged or blocked. If you have a sunroof, and water in the car, this is the most likely.

Also check the tail lights..if the seal is worn it would cause water to leak in...I had this happen to me in my neon.

Are you talking about the large rear window or the door window ?
I have checked for leaks in the trunk before and its dry as a bone. And I had blown out the tubes before on the sunroof.
I will go over it again.
However since I had the rear window ( large) replaced I've noticed condensation in the morning on the inside. Is this a sign of a bad seal or window installation ?

our 95 SSE had this same identical problem.... It was a hole in the wheel well that rusted through.
