My Bad Day!
I worked all day yesterday to replace my coupler in my 94 SSEi got everything back in place and it runs a little rough on idle? I need some advice about this please. Here is where my Bad Day comes in play. I left to go to auto parts store for vac lines and bam I am sitting at the stop sign and on the street in front of me a guy pulls a left turn into traffic and wham he gets hit and then lands on top of my driver side front end. Needless to say my Bonnie she is hurt and going to the body shop. I just cant win but at least everyone was ok from the crash. I will let you guy'* know the details on how bad it is soon. From what I see a whole new hood, grill front bumper drivers side lights a new quarter panel and some suspension work and other things then maybe I can get my little rough idle fixed. I have no more Rattles in my SC it is nice and quite. Thanks everyone I wish you better days than mine.

Funny, your car was running perfect before the accident.
Sounds like you have a bad vac line there. The T under the snout is a good place to look. I think you have one on your year.

WOW....what a horrible ending to a successful repair. With the year of the car and damage, the insurance company may just total it out and decide to not offer a rebuild.

No T under the snout on the S1'*. They have a big distribution block mess by the TB. (Where our booster hooks in on the S2)
Sorry to hear that..but yeah.. ran great til it was whacked. Let them figure it out.

On top of my SC there is a square block that has one bolt stright in the middle with 4 vac lines if I recall. There is to be a gasket put under it and when I rebuilt my SC I didn't know that. I used GM Gasket Maker to make a new gasket under it worked real well. My other leaks were a couple of hard and soft vac lines. The biggie was the line to the vac canister and to the little valve on the front of the tranny it was dry rotted and cracked all to pieces. My idle at start before was 2500rpm the dropped to 500rpm, now my idle is about 1300 to 900 rpm still little rough at 900 but I will get it figured out soon I am sure. A new 02 sensor and cai is next on my list along with cleaning the maf sensor and checking my coils. The new vac lines worked out like a champ thanks Dan. Funny my car looks just like yours but different wheels, I have Cop red paint and tan leather mine got wrecked on Sat I hope this helps you out. Good luck

I meant to say the vacuum block on my SC I must have got the boost pressure manifold confused with the vacuum block sorry about that. Its been a rough few days here, I got my new coupler in and the very next day a wreck and she was under a Grand Am that failed to yield and was struck by a ford focus and the grand am landed on top of my drivers side front end. Laying across my hood at an angle to the ground where the front tire and nose of the grand am rested on the street and her rear end and tire was on the hood of my bonnie ouch she was hurt. The grand am gt was a silver 2000 and red ford focus 2007 totaled wiped them both out! I wasn't and that was a good thing
