No. 92-95 is a 2-bolt mount. 96 and later is a 3-bolt.

97 ACDELCO Part # 3342457 {140 AMP #19136015}
GENERATOR,(REMAN) DELCO CS144 (140 AMPS)

95 ACDELCO Part # 3342445 {140 AMP #19136003}
GENERATOR,(REMAN) STD UNIT; DELCO CS144 (140 AMPS)

I only looked at the ACdelco, but they seem to have a different part number.

Thanks also Danthurs, I'm taking parts off of the 95 SSEi to see what I can save for the 97 SSEi.

Oh how I wish. How far is Tenn from me anyway?

Will a starter from a 95 SSEi be a direct fit to the 97 SSEi?

Yes, it'* the same gear-reduced starter for all SSEi'* from 92 to at least 99. I haven't researched it further.

You don't want a non-gear-reduced starter from a non-L67.

(it'* very easy to compare part numbers on Rock Auto)

Thanks Will and I appreciate the suggestion in looking up the parts myself. Yes I'm a bit lazy but what with working on 4 cars at present and only having one drivable I'm limited in my free time. I need to get the totalled 95 SSEi out of my driveway before the neighbours start to complain.

Again thanks for the help Will, it is appreciated.
